The Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) project is a five-year, global project focused on HIV, global health security, and combatting trafficking in persons using funding from the Presidentโs Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief and the United States Agency for International Development. EpiC is seeking a qualified and motivated Vietnamese candidate to serve in the role of Project Officer based in Ho Chi Minh City and focused on the following tasks:
Main responsibilities:
Build relationships with community-based organizations (CBOs) within areas of geographic focus.
Serve as the primary project liaison with CBOs within geographic focus on all matters.
Organize and lead technical assistance activities within areas of expertise or coordinate the engagement of colleagues and consultants to meet CBO needs.
Oversee CBO performance against targets, technical quality of HIV service delivery, and alignment with subawards.
Liaise with project management team and technical experts across the team to ensure subaward targets are met, reported with fidelity, and aligned with organizational (CBO and project) and epidemic needs.
Coordinate communications and demand generation activities with the needs of CBOs to meet targets and address gaps in client knowledge and access.
Foster connections between CBOs and other CBOs, local governments, the project, the donor, and technical service providers.
Prepare CBOs to receive donor and government funding including social contracting.
Work closely with the monitoring and evaluation teams to ensure CBOs capture and report service delivery and client data. Sign off on indicator and narrative reports.
Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelorโs degree in public health, communications, social work, or related field
Relevant experience in working with community-based organizations involved in HIV service delivery.
Professional experience working with men who have sex with men, transgender persons or other vulnerable populations preferred
Computer proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
3-5 yearsโ experience implementing public health programs, ideally within PEPFAR-funded initiatives
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize
Interest in learning new skills as part of a dynamic team
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Vietnamese
Ability to travel as needed
