PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The EpiC Project in Myanmar supports integrated health interventions to improve the health and well-being of vulnerable populations in the country. The project supports stronger health systems, including community health systems, testing and treatment access and case management, particularly in hard-to-reach areas, and aims to improve capacities to detect, prevent, and respond to infectious diseases.
JOB SUMMARY:
This position will provide leadership, management, and direct technical focus areas related to integrated health, including a wide range of infectious diseases, e.g. HIV, malaria. S/he will manage staff and project interventions related to integrated health and align EpiC frameworks, approaches, tools, and activities with relevant normative guidelines and technical standards. This will include engaging with qualified partners to implement interventions and ensure technical performance. The EpiC Associate Director, Integrated Health, will work closely with the Country Representative together with technical, program management, and monitoring and evaluation teams to ensure adherence with the United States Governmentโs (USG) health priorities across country-level work plans. S/he will be accountable for the successful delivery of all technical aspects and reporting from initiation through delivery and closeout, ensuring completion of technical deliverables on schedule and within budget and that meet or exceed quality standards.
DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves as integrated health lead and key point of contact.
- Provides technical direction to develop country-specific workplans and budgets, ensuring alignment with integrated health objectives and USG priorities and with global technical standards.
- Ensures high quality technical deliverablesโincluding workplans, required and ad hoc reports, and success stories highlighting technical achievementsโare developed, submitted and approved on schedule and within budget parameters.
- Provides directions to ensure technical activities are in line with relevant quality standards and FHI 360โs policies and procedures.
- Responds to client requests and questions on technical matters; ensures timely drafts and submissions of consent, approvals and/or waivers.
- Ensures technical activities are designed to support integrated health monitoring and evaluation activities; collaborates with the monitoring and evaluation team to finalize and submit country-specific technical indicators and report against their progress in quarterly, annual, and other reports.
- Assesses subcontractorsโ performance on technical activities and directs adjustments, as needed.
- Collaborates with the monitoring and evaluation team to develop and promote integrated health successes by collecting, writing, and distributing success stories, case studies, photos, and outreach at events.
- Supports performance management and professional development of direct reports, including ongoing feedback, coaching and career support.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Provides direct supervision to a project team.

- Coordinates across other integrated health staff to develop budgets, goals, and develops project procedures and capacity building.
Education:**
- Masterโs Degree or its International Equivalent in Medicine or Public Health or a Related Field.
- Project Management (PM) Certification preferred.
Experience:**
- Typically requires a minimum of 12+ years of relevant technical/project management experience (including 8+ years of leadership, strong business acumen and/or line management experience).
- Prior work experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO) is preferred.
- Prior experience implementing USG-funded contracts strongly preferred.
Typical Physical Demands:
- Typical office environment.
- Ability to spend long hours looking at computer screen and doing repetitive work on a keyboard.
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift/move up to 5 lbs.

Travel Requirements:
- In accordance with the workplan, the Associate Director is expected to undertake travel within Myanmar as well as to regional countries.
