Program Facilitator (Graduation project) - Mwenezi
Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the Program Facilitator will be providing leadership and facilitation at district level in the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the โGraduationโ project in the Mwenezi district, representing Plan International at district, provincial stakeholder forums/networks, consultative sessions, or conferences on child protection, child friendly schools and education. The Program Facilitator is responsible for working with other INGO and NGO partners working with adolescents and parents on Educatio, SRH, GBV and protection interventions in Mwenezi district.
Accountabilities
- Manage the learning program.
- Monthly and quarterly monitoring and reporting of The Graduation project budget expenditures and output deliveries.
- Facilitate implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Transformative Girls project.
- Document best practices for instituational learning and scaling up of best practices in early childhood education.
- Leads overall planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating of the โThe Graduation projectโ.
- Facilitates, coordinates and supports training of school teachers to ensure that marginalized and vulnerable girls complete secondary education.
- Integrate the Plan International Safeguarding Policy with project activities at district level
- Coordinates training of school-based child protection committees and community-based child protection committees, and involves them in planning of awareness raising activities on positive discipline.
- Write weekly, quarterly, mid-term, and end-of-term project progress reports for sharing with teams, donors, district, provincial and national stakeholders
- Participates in learning platforms at district level
- Facilitate generation and sharing of project progress reports with stakeholders and Donors as per Donor conditions in the signed project FAD.
Safeguarding, Gender Equality and Inclusion
Ensures that Plan Internationalโs global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in accordance with the principles and requirements of the policy including relevant Implementation Standards and Guidelines as applicable to their area of responsibility. This includes, but is not limited to ensuring staff and associates are aware of and understand their responsibilities under these policies and Plan Internationalโs Code of Conduct (CoC), their relevance to their area of work, and that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.
Knowledge
- A degree in Education,Development Studies or related discipline from a recognized institute.
- At least 3 yearsโ experience in a similar role in an NGO environment working in child centered development programs.
- Demonstrable experience in project proposal writing, project implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
- Demonstrable ability to network with key community development stakeholders.
- Knowledge of development issues, trends, challenges and opportunities and implications to community development.
- A Class 3 or 4 Driverโs license
- Ability and willingness to ride a motorbike.
Skills
- Good command of English, Shona and Ndebele essential.
- Good team worker/leader and very innovative and change oriented.
