FHI 360 is seeking an individual to serve as the Management and Finance Director of a USAID Global drug resistant tuberculosis project, managing cross-functional teams and project activities from award through close-out. The incumbent will plans and direct schedules, monitor budget/spending, and organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project on schedule and within budget constraints. They will select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure efficient project implementation. The Management and Finance Director works closely with management to ensure financial, administrative, contractual, logistical efficiency and compliance. They serve as a liaison between staff and the organizationโ€™s administrative and enterprise services to maintain smooth operations between headquarters and field offices.

This position is contingent on donor funding.

Accountabilities

  • Provides support to the Project Director to ensure the project is implemented in an efficient, compliant, timely and results-oriented manner.

  • Manages, implements, and monitors systems, services, staff, and budgets to achieve financial, administrative and project goals.

  • Provides timely and accurate financial and project reports to company management and donors as required.

  • Ensures award procurement practices are in compliance with relevant policies, rules, and regulations, e.g., USG and FHI 360.

  • Maximizes efficiencies, both in cost and operationally, in the implementation of the activity.

  • Executes management processes and methodologies to ensure results are delivered on time and within budget.

  • Ensures timely, high-quality, and complete submission of all reporting requirements

  • Collaborates with MEL technical lead to USAID Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning principles are met and that documentation and dissemination of findings, impact of the activity, innovations, best practices, success stories and lessons learned.

  • Oversees and lead cost-efficient subawarding of multiple organizations within host countries.

  • Responsible for efficient use of funding provided to administer and manage the project.

  • Responsible for all program accounting and financial reporting systems and related reporting in compliance with USG financial and accounting rules and regulations, including the management of multiple funding sources from USAID entities.

  • Approves all expenditures relating to budgets.

  • Provides project assistance through review or writing of protocols, papers, reports to ensure accuracy and appropriateness.

  • Collaborates with the Project Director to proactively identify opportunities for new project initiatives and funding to support them.

  • Recruits, orients, and supervises project staff to support project and ensure the completion of programmatic and workforce planning needs are met and achieved.

  • Collaborates with staff to ensure that project implementation is managed closely through the development of structured work plans, indicator tracking sheets and approved monitoring plans.
