THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE:

You will play a critical role in supporting Save the Children's Philanthropy and Partnerships team through the coordination, planning and execution of activities, including events, and special projects.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

The Intern, Stewardship and Special Projects will provide support to Save the Children Canadaโ€™s Philanthropy and Partnerships team including, but not necessarily limited to the following actions:

Support the development and finalization of stewardship matrixes.Support in the planning and execution of donorย mailings and newsletters (physical and electronic).Coordinate/support event planning (in-person and virtual) and donor recognition activities, including corporate volunteering and employee engagement opportunities.Providing administrative support for stewardship activities, including database and gift management, such as gifts-in-kind gift processing and tracking donor interactions.Project management support related to the website refresh for philanthropy and partnershipsย content.

Qualifications include (but are not limited to):

Post-secondary education in the areas of Business, Fundraising, Event Planning, Project Management, Communications and/or related equivalent experienceExceptional communications and written skillsExcellent organizational, planning and time management skillsAttention to detail and an ability to manage multiple priorities effectivelyAbility to work in a team and/or independentlyProficient in Microsoft Office Suite

REQUIREMENTS

This role is funded by the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) program. This is an initiative of the Youth Employment and Skills Strategy, which aims to provide flexible and holistic services to help youth in Canada develop the skills and gain paid work experience to successfully transition into the labour market.

Eligibility Criteria:

As this internship is funded by the Canada Summer Jobs program, eligible candidates must:

be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employmentbe a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employmenthave a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations. Note: International students are notย eligible for this program.This position will be paid $16.55 per hour.Home based internet connection required.Will be required to work at our Toronto office, time to time, with reasonable notice.ย
