Generic Responsibilities:
- Adhere to NRC policies, guidance, and procedures.
- Contribute to organizational learning through provision of specific technical analysis, lessons learned and reports.ย
- Contribute to enhanced use of data in key learning moments such as Project and programme reviews, Theory of Change reviews as a part of strategy process.
- Develop training modules and provide specific technical learning and/or training for project staff.ย
- Design, roll out and maintain digital solutions and continuously seek to improve functionality and performance with support from the M and E Manager.ย
- Support and contribute to the development of a data management system through documentation, implementation, and coordination of standardized information flows.ย
- Produce periodic documentation to share progress and learning.ย
- Ensuring systems /processes are in place to ensure high quality reporting for CCS in Output and Outcome monitoring of projects.ย
- Line manages AO (Area Office) IM staff and capacity building for area office IM staff.ย
- Ensure thatย NRCโs relatedย activities are implemented withinย NRCโsย Protectionย mainstreaming guidelinesย and report any breaches/concerns to the line managerย and/or focal pointย for proper action.
Specific responsibilitiesย
These responsibilities shall be adapted to the particularities of the job location and context, phase of operation, strategic focus, and type of programme intervention. This section shall be revised whenever a new employee is hired or the context changes significantly. The line manager drafts the specific responsibilities and sends them to his/her line manager for approval.ย
- Develop, establish, and maintain database management systems, online platforms, monitoring tools and data collection, Information Management tools and templates.
- Support analysis, reporting and visualization of data capture efforts by field teams.ย
- Conduct regular quality control of data, ensure that information is up to date.ย
- Capacity building, supervise and implement training of program staff on information management tools and processes, use of the data collection tools, IM systems.ย
- Support the Programme Department in new initiatives, should these arise during the employment period.
- Conduct and monitor surveys and assessments as needed.ย
- Support partner information needs through provision of data and mapping.ย
- Ensure that all data collection, storage, analyses, and dissemination is in line with NRCโs data protection principles.ย
- Contribute to ensuring that Information Management systems are up to date with latest indicators, targets, and results.
- Perform any other activities requested by line manager.ย
- Prepare infographics, reports and dashboards on trends, developments, and data analysed. Establish and maintain a library of forms for common project cycle data capture activities.
Generic professional competencies for this position:
- Minimum of 3 years of overall experience in data management: development of databases, effective use of data management tools and solutions and data analysis.
- University degree in computer science, social science, economics, statistics or in other related fields.ย
