What we are looking forย 

NORCAP, part of The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking a highly qualified, resilient and dynamic Head of Unit Recruitment & Development to provide overall leadership, line management and budget responsibility for the Unit. The successful candidate will also participate in project management and business development and will shape NORCAPโ€™s future development and success by tailoring recruitments to NORCAPโ€™s strategic areas.ย  ย  ย

What you will doย 

Overall management of recruitment development, plans and activitiesย 

Ensure that NORCAP has available experts that can be deployed in a timely manner according to strategic prioritiesย 

Responsible for innovating, optimizing, and professionalizing recruitment processes, and toolsย ย 

Responsible for unit results, delegating and ensure that recruitment facilitation follow SOP (Standard Operating Procedures).ย ย 

Lead the unit team to ensure they are equipped to deliver great services in line with their job descriptionsย 

Support the project teams in requesting, planning, and preparing recruitment processes to meet the project goals.ย  ย 

Advise and build capacity across NORCAP on recruitment standardsย 

Advise and support hiring managers and panels on assessments of candidatesย ย ย

ย What you will bringย 

Relevant higher education, and minimum 5 years of relevant experience within recruitment and/or HR, including minimum 2 years Management and Leadership experienceย ย 

Experience from working in complex and dynamic contextsย 

Experience in operating global recruitment including sourcing, competency-based interviews, talent pools, and use of selection techniquesย ย 

Certification in psychometric tools, preferably tests from AONย ย 

Experience working in an international organization.ย ย 

Documented results related to the positionโ€™s responsibilities.ย ย 

Knowledge about own leadership style, skills, and development areasย
