Are you a number crusher and have an eye for detail? Do you know your way around Excel and have experience with ERP systems? Then this might be the role for you! We are looking for our next Financial Controller to join our Finance team based at our head office in Oslo.ย
You will join a team of 6 highly competent Financial Controllers with similar tasks, each aligned to specific portfolios, and the Head of Unit. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a range of financial support to the department including, but not limited to, budgeting, reporting, cash flow, internal control, advisory on finance related matters and ensuring compliance to NRC policies and procedures.

Specific responsibilitiesย
Ensure that NORCAP set ups are adhere to Financial Handbook, NRC policies, donor, and auditor requirements. Provide technical input and advice on NRC Financial and Logistic Handbook, guidelines, and tools Provide technical input and advice on financial matters in project application, project implementation and project closing phase. Contribute to the development of Financial SOPs when necessary Deliver trainings as necessary, on NRCโs finance policy, systems and tools Monitor financial management and anti-corruption work within the area of responsibilityย Provide coherent and coordinated feedback to the operative sections and NORCAP management about the financial needs and challenges of different frames and projects Other tasks assigned by Head of FinanceQualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience from working as a financial advisor/financial controller/finance manager or similar positions Minimum bachelorโs degree in relevant field i.e. accounting and finance Documented results related to the positionโs responsibilities Experience with ensuring accounting policies are compliant with organisation policies and local regulations Experience from humanitarian sector is a plus Knowledge about Norwegian regulations is a plus Knowledge about own leadership skills/profileย Solid knowledge of computer software and modern accounting systems, e.g. Unit 4 or other ERP systems Fluency in English, Norwegian is a plusBehavioural competencies
