EpiC Vietnam Project Description:

Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) is a global project funded by the U.S. Presidentโ€™s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). EpiC is dedicated to achieving and maintaining HIV epidemic control and the project provides strategic technical assistance (TA) and direct service delivery (DSD) to break through barriers to 95-95-95 and promote self-reliant management of national HIV programs by improving HIV case-finding, prevention, and treatment programming. EpiC was modified in early 2020 to include funding to prevent, prepare for, and respond to COVID-19 and bolster health systems to address the pandemic, followed by Mpox and then Global Health Security. FHI 360 has been implementing the EpiC project in Vietnam since 2020. EpiC focuses on expanding HIV case finding in the community, expansion of PrEP and treatment initiation, adherence, and retention support for people living with HIV (PLHIV), with a focus on select key population groups; as well as health system strengthening through liquid oxygen system installation and training; global health security; and combatting trafficking in persons.

Job description:

The EpiC Vietnam Project Director has the overall responsibility for administration, program management, performance monitoring and technical implementation and oversight of all aspects of activities, under the oversight of the EpiC global management team. They serve as the primary point of contact for the EpiC Vietnam project. They provide technical and management leadership to the project and ensure successful implementation of the work plan and achievement of the projectโ€™s targets and goals. The Project Director will provide technical and programmatic oversight directly to the activity areas. They are required to coordinate and work with a diverse group of organizations and stakeholders, including the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs, senior government officials, dignitaries, regional health staff, international and national development partner organizations, and the USAID mission. The Project Director ensures that technical efforts are evidence-based, community-driven and will contribute to the deliverables in Vietnam.

The position is open to all Vietnamese national applicants and is based in Hanoi, Vietnam.
