Unit Overview:
The Strategy, Performance and Administration (SPA) Department has three units: Shared Services (SPASS), Strategy and Organizational Performance (SPASP), and Corporate Procurement (SPACP). The SPA department reports directly into the Managing Director and Chief Administrative Officer of the WBG.
The Corporate Procurement Unit is responsible for the procurement of goods, works and services (including consulting services) to support the WBGโ€™s 130+ offices around the world. Corporate Procurement manages an annual spend around USD 2B with around 25,000 vendors. The team has staff located in Washington, DC, Chennai, India and Sofia, Bulgaria. Corporate Procurement utilizes category management to achieve better outcomes, improved quality, greater savings, efficient use of resources, a better understanding of the market, and an increased focus on collaboration and innovation. Corporate Procurement focuses on three key principles: Commerciality, Risk Management, and Sustainability. Categories of spend include Human Resources and Professional Services; Corporate Services and Real Estate; and Information Technology. The Capacity Building and Change Management team within Corporate Procurement is responsible for the unitโ€™s change management, capacity building, knowledge management and communication, of WBG staff, vendors, and other internal and external stakeholders and partners.

Roles and Responsibilities:
The Knowledge Management and Communications in Corporate Procurement will be located in Washington, DC. This position reports to the Capacity Building and Change Management Lead (Program Officer) in the Program Management Office team.

The primary duties are:
โ€ข Support the conceptualization, structuring of content, graphic design drafting, and editing of high-quality content by liaising with the program lead.
โ€ข Develop and implement creative components that support change management activities related to projects, programs, and events led by Corporate Procurement, partnering with relevant teams and subject matter experts, to aid awareness, learning and adoption by internal and external audiences.
โ€ข Help with the content creation and maintenance of the various Corporate Procurement websites to ensure a compelling and consistent design style.
โ€ข Create compelling infographics, presentations, interactive content, and multimedia that effectively convey key messages for various audiences and support data visualization.
โ€ข Assist with the coordination of knowledge management and outreach activities and provide overall support to the team, including schedule coordination, logistical arrangements, and sourcing actions as needed.
โ€ข Contribute to the multi-channel promotion of outreach and knowledge management activities including the development of effective communication materials, such as knowledge products, program/project narratives, snapshots, etc.

Selection Criteria

โ€ข BA degree with a major in communications, design, marketing, or a related discipline
โ€ข 5 years of relevant experience
โ€ข Superior English writing and verbal skills
โ€ข Strong organizational skills: keen attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple tasks in parallel
โ€ข Proficiency in graphic software, including Adobe Creative Suite
โ€ข Advanced user skills in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Word, and Power Point
โ€ข Experience with web authoring solutions and, including SharePoint is desired

General Competencies:
โ€ข Ability to deal sensitively in a multi-cultural environment and build effective working relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders
โ€ข Cross functional team player and ability to function effectively in multi-disciplinary teams within a matrix management environment, as well as an individual contributor
