The Opportunity
- The Director of Programs must take the lead in ensuring country strategy is aligned with the Global strategy of Plan and all program interventions contribute to the achievement of the global target;
- The Director of Programs plays a specific role in program development and fundraising and is a born member of the task force in resource mobilization;
- The post holder ensures smooth teamwork within and across the different units and management lines within the departments, while enhancing integration with other departments;
- Overall responsible for ensuring professional partnership management in line with Global Guidelines as well as local partnership manual;
- Take the lead in reviewing Plan Mozambique Partnership Manual and Tool box when necessary;
- The Director of Programs will ensure synergies between grants and sponsorship and the sponsorship commitment number two (2) is adhered to;
- The Director of Program will ensure PIM is well positioned to work thorough HPD Nexus embedding conflict sensitivity analysis programming
- The program department plays a specific role in ensuring influencing strategies vertically and horizontally in the programs as well as in networks where Plan participates (e.g CECAP, etc.);

About You
- A Masterโs Degree in Social work, International Relations, Development or similar field.
- Relevant experience in INGO Sector or demonstrated equivalent combination.
- Experience in managing development programme in the country with in the INGO sector.
- Proven experiences and ability to coordinate and collaborate with different civil society and Community based organization.
- Demonstrable working experience in development programme.
- Knowledge of developmental agendas in complex and protracted development and humanitarian landscape.
- Experience in context, funding and market analysis.
- Ability to communicate effectively and authoritatively on area of expertise, and influence others to reach common goals.
- Demonstrated track record of proposal writing and budget management
- Experience in leading team, coaching and mentoring, especially managing a large team.
- Excellent experience in conflict resolution.
