TITLE: Communication and Knowledge Management Specialist
REPORT TO: MEL Director, FHI 360 in Bangladesh

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Communication and Knowledge Management Specialist for the Tuberculosis project based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. This position is dependent on receipt of funding.
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the MEL Director, the Communication and Knowledge Management Specialist will work closely with the different technical, MEL team and partners to assists in the creation of organizational and communication materials, events and other deliverables pertaining to project communications. Focus on developing and delivering clear, concise, and coordinated project-related messaging across multiple communication channel and on fostering opportunities for dialogue between project, partners, media, government, and the public. Work across all communications platforms, including email, website, social media, and related strategic communication platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- In collaboration with MEL team and other project staff, draft Communication and Knowledge Management Plan for the project
- Research, write, and edit a broad range of communications that promote the project activities.
- Provide publicity and promotional support for special events and outreach activities.
- Develop and implements communications and public relations strategies to promote and publicize a variety of program outreach.
- Prepare a variety of promotional and informational materials including articles, bulletins, websites, pamphlets, and other related media materials.
- Support the development of select materials from a set of data to final production.
- Assist MEL Director in meeting specific deliverables, including communication planning, implementation, and monitoring.
- Work closely with project staff to keep abreast of FHI 360โs communication guideline, including coordinate with regional communication staff and design lab to ensure effectiveness, efficiency and accuracy of communications and information.
- Liaise with partners and stakeholders on communication materials approval process, including the utilization of donorโs identification and representation, project information and materials.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the MEL Director.
Minimum Requirements
- A Bachelorโs degree or higher in arts, journalism, communications and public relations or the relevant subject area(s).
- Minimum two (2) years of experience of writing, editing, and publications experience.
- Demonstrated ability to execute strategic communication into actions in compliance with the project workplan.
- Demonstrated ability and knowledge of communication methods and theories, including produce communication materials and media relations.
- Familiarity with health issues and health barriers within the Bangladesh context.
- Ability to navigate culturally sensitive terrain and maintain constructive and collaborative communication approach to a diverse group of stakeholders and audiences.
- Relevant computer software skills (including, at a minimum, the standard applications in MS Office), knowledge of other communications tools is a plus.
- Fluency in English and Bengali language is required.
- Position open to Bangladeshi nationals or individuals who have the legal authority to work in Bangladesh.
