Our Mooroopna kindergarten has been running in the local community for over 70 years. We are a sessional kindergarten that runs Monday to Friday offering 15hours of funded kindergarten to children aged 3 and 4. As part of our team you will be able to support us in providing a positive and enriching start to each childโs learning journey at such an important time in their life.

Where you come in:
In this casual position, based in Mooroopna, youโll work with the kindergarten team to support the development, implementation, and evaluation of high quality, developmentally and culturally appropriate play and learning experiences for children. As part of our Northern Victoria team, youโll report to our Team Leader, Early Childhood Education.
You will make an impact by:
Being a flexible team member who is able to work when needed to support the kindergarten to remain open and provide a high level of care to the children. Supporting the team to provide a high-quality educational program to the children in the kindergarten, utilising your knowledge of the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF) Supporting the team in delivering the educational program consistently to all children in the kindergarten. Developing and maintaining respectful, supportive, collaborative and responsive relationships with staff, children and families. Actively supporting every child to participate in the program, promoting their agency, choices and decision making.Does this sound like you?
You have the experience or the passion to engage children in their learning using the VEYLDF to support the choices you make. You enjoy working in a small team environment, bouncing ideas with others, sharing thoughts, and bringing a positive energy to lift the team when you are in the kinder. You enjoy working with a range of different families and children and understand that every individual child may have different needs and are willing to support this with the team. Ideally you have a Nationally recognised Diploma qualification or are willing to explore upskilling to a diploma qualification.
Approved Certificate III or Diploma (or equivalent) in early childhood teaching. Please contact Team leader to discuss your own qualifications if required. Knowledge and/or experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of a high-quality education and care program. Knowledge and/or experience in the use of approved learning frameworks, in particular the Victoria Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF) Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills

This position is designated under the Multiagency Risk Assessment and Management framework (MARAM), which requires mandated MARAM Family Violence Screening & Identification training and responsibilities. If successful in the role, you will need to undertake MARAM training and provide evidence of completion.
