Your Role
As an Associate IT Officer (Solutions Engineering), you will lead the analysis and design of new digital products, enhance existing products and address various issues while working with internal customers from various departments in ADB.
You will be assigned one or more digital products and will lead development teams to design and implement solutions based on client needs. You will also be responsible for support, including incident and problem management.
You are expected to be a subject matter expert in the following areas:
路 Knowledge, content and records management systems, based on SharePoint and other components of the Microsoft 365 platform
路 Search engines;
路 Use of artificial intelligence to enhance user and search experience, as well as to increase productivity;
路 Data solutions with Azure/Power BI and MDM/Data Catalog solutions;
路 Miscellaneous small apps on the Microsoft Power Platform
路 Integrations between the knowledge, content and records management platforms and other systems
You will be responsible for the following:
Client engagement, product design and development:
路 Design and implement solutions based on client needs by leading development teams to create new solutions or improve existing ones
路 Collaborate with project sponsors and business owners to determine product scope and vision and product road map development
路 Communicate with clients and users to understand their needs and recommend solutions that meet them.
路 Identify and document requirements to define impact, outcome criteria, and metrics. Work with stakeholders to prioritize requirements.
路 Analyze the costs and benefits of different solutions, including possible impacts on performance and security.
路 Deliver products in an agile manner, with periodic releases based on prioritized requirements.
路 Create product documentation such as design specifications or solution proposals.
路 Deliver custom components of knowledge, content, and records management systems, as well as integrations with other ADB systems in close cooperation with vendors.
Operations and Support:
路 Manage production support in close cooperation with the designated managed service provider and team.
路 Be responsible for incident and problem management. Ensure major and critical incidents are resolved timely and users are informed. Lead root cause analysis (RCA) to avoid incidents from re-occurring.
路 Maintain platform and technical documentation.
Compliance & continuous improvements:
路 Ensure that assigned application systems are being developed in adherence to ADB鈥檚 software engineering standards and processes.
路 Ensure that solutions are in compliance with the security framework and that data is safe from unauthorized access.
路 Track client feedback to ensure satisfaction with the service provided. Identify opportunities for improvement in existing solutions and recommend changes to be implemented.
Oversight and Administration
路 Guide the work of outsourcing contractors or administrative staff who may be involved in developing assigned application systems. Ensure that they deliver compliant systems as described above.
路 Regularly submit reports on the work status for assigned tasks, including problems encountered, and resource requirements.
路 Other duties may be assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications
You will need:
路 Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Information Science, Computer Systems Analysis, Computer Science, Math or relevant fields.
路 At least 6 years of relevant professional experience, including leading technical teams.
路 At least 6 years of experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development
路 Proven ability to work independently on assigned transactions, areas of analysis and research, which have well-defined scope and step.
路 At least 6 years of experience with delivering systems based on Microsoft 365 and SharePoint, including their management and support.
路 Able to conduct cost-benefit analysis to support decision-making.
路 Able to set priorities for yourself and junior team members.
路 Proficient in spreadsheets and required information technologies.
路 Deep understanding of agile software and agile practices
路 Experience with delivering systems with artificial intelligence components is an advantage.
路 Able to work collaboratively with teams as a constructive team member.`
路 Written and verbal proficiency in English and effective report-writing and communication skills.
