Job Description

Save the Children impacts the lives of children in Australia, the Pacific and beyond on a daily basis. But we canโ€™t do it alone; the engagement of our donors, supporters and retail customers is critical to our success.

Weโ€™re looking for a passionate Project Coordinator who is ready to join our energetic Supporter Engagement team. This is a great opportunity to further develop project management and facilitation skills in an innovative environment.

This role is currently being advertised for four days a week (0.8FTE), but we are open to discussing other options including a full-time arrangement, three-day work week (0.6 FTE), or equivalent in line with our flexible work offering.

Save the Children is no ordinary not-for-profit.

Weโ€™re ambitious, creative and outspoken. We stand up for childrenโ€™s rights. We want all children to be educated, healthy and live a life free from violence. We run programs in Australia and overseas and, if thereโ€™s a disaster - like an earthquake, drought or conflict โ€“ we are there on the ground.

Where you come in:

In this part-time*, 12-month contract youโ€™ll help drive the delivery of projects and initiatives within the Save the Children Australiaโ€™s Supporter Engagement portfolio.

You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of diverse and interesting projects with a focus on growing and diversifying our retail and fundraising revenue.

You will make an impact by:

ยท Working with subject matter experts to plan out project tasks and create a roadmap for delivery

ยท Driving and monitoring delivery in line with the agreed timeline

ยท Identifying and flagging potential risks, issues, scheduling conflicts

ยท Coordinating and facilitating project team meetings including planning sessions, stand ups and reviews

ยท Communicating project progress by providing updates and reports to stakeholders, clearly calling out successes, risks and changes

ยท Assisting with the development of outlines, rationales and business cases

ยท Gathering and consolidating background information and requirements using collaborative workshops or written briefs

ยท Assisting with the investigation into solutions and opportunities, considering risks, benefits and business impacts

Does this sound like you?

You are an adaptable, highly organised all-rounder, with a high level of attention to detail and a can-do manner. You thrive in a team environment where you can facilitate collaboration and support people in achieving their goals. Youโ€™re a great problem solver, and you relish the opportunity to bring creative solutions and process improvements to the table.

This role requires:

ยท Experience driving the successful delivery of projects or initiatives using Agile delivery methods

ยท Excellent communication, collaboration and facilitation skills, including working with senior stakeholders

ยท A talent for planning, organising, and coordinating team members and resources

ยท A high level of attention to detail and a proactive mindset
