With over 850 indigenous languages and one of the most ethnically diverse populations, widespread poverty, and gender inequality make it hard for many children to realize their rights. How can you make a difference?ย
Background
The UNICEF PNG country office website was overhauled in 2020 when the organization implemented a global Digital Transformation Project to streamline external communication and to increase the ease with which UNICEF communicates. Since then, little has changed for the websiteโs static pages and the website is overdue for a fresh look.
The PNG country office is rolling out its new country programme (2024 โ 2028). This is an opportune time to enhance the current website, update all information and content, feature new content based on the new country programme, and generate an overall fresh appeal.
Purpose and Objectives
The purpose of this consultancy is to revamp the current website to feature the new country programme, update all website pages, and provide regular maintenance and management of the website to attract users and increase traffic.
Scope of Work
Scope of work will include a total revamp of the country office website undertaken within a period of 1 month; Regular management and maintenance of website delivered 6 days per month over 10.5 months.
Tasks and activities:
In close consultation with Communication, Create site map and revamp website within one month ย Hold monthly meetings for content generation Update fresh content to website every month Manage and monitor website, including fixing broken links Provide website analytics on a regular basis to track traffic Undertake website maintenance and manage content changes.As a champion for every child, qualifications areโฆย
Information Technology; Computer Science or related discipline 5-7 years hands on experience in website management ย Progressive work experience in web resources development and design; proven knowledge of content management system using the Drupal platform; good knowledge of Google Analytics and other web statistics tools.ย

This position is a short-term assignment and doesnโt give rise to a long-term permanent post with the organization.
Applicants are required to include in their applications a financial proposal which includes a lumpsum amount for consultancy fees, local transportation, and other miscellaneous costs. Breakdown or details of the fee will be much appreciated.

Their conditions of service will be governed by their contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants and Individual Contractors. Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.
