MISSIONS :

Integrated into the Deployment Unit team, within the Atlas Logistics Division, and under the responsibility of the UNDAC Operations Manager, the Preparedness & Response Officer contributes to the implementation of the operational strategy of the UNDAC project and the development of the Atlas Roster system dedicated to emergency operations as part of the operational partnership with the UNDAC rapid response mechanism.

TASK 1 : UNDAC Project Management & MEAL
- Contribute to the monitoring of Atlas Logistiqueโ€™s Plan of actions developping and improving the support provided to the UNDAC system & the humanitarian actors ;
- Represent Atlas Logistique-HI and its mantate into the UNDAC System and UNDAC network events related ;
- Facilitate the coordination of the various internal rapid response mechanisms within HI -Emergency Division, Atlas & EHRC response mechanism & Atlas Logistique emergency response operations)
- Support the development of synergies between Atlas Logistique and the other operational partners of the UNDAC network in order to improve the support provided to the wider humanitarian stakeholders under our H2H mandate ;
- Ensure the good implementation and use of various tools for the monitoring & evaluation of the Atlas Logistique activities with UNDAC.

TASK 2 : Reporting & Capitalization
- Ensure the donors & contract reporting calendar is respected by implementing an internal monitoring and follow up system ;
- Contribute to the collection of information (financial, activities, media) to ensure regular donors reporting is fed with the relevant and needed information on Atlas Logistiqueโ€™s activities into the UNDAC system.
- Design and implement an internal mechanism to facilitate the capitalization and good use of lesson learned of any activities or operations conducted by the Atlas Roster dedicated to the UNDAC Partnership.
- Contribute to the proper management of datas and archives related to Atlas Roster activities within the UNDAC Partnership.

TASK 3 : Communication Management
- Ensure Internal communication products are completed as per the communication plan of action and the Internal communication strategy.
- Ensure External communication products are completed as per the communication plan of action and the External communication strategy
- Contribute to the Atlas Roster Podcast project on humanitarian logistics in emergency responses
- Contribute to the Atlas Roster promotional video clip design and completion.

TASK 4 : Atlas Roster Management Support
- Contribute to the Atlas Roster members follow up, including their individual administrative files in close coordination with the internal departments involved (HR, Travels, etc);
- Contribute to the Atlas Roster members follow up and planning of their Learning Path and capacity reinforcement;
- Ensure the annual calendar of training, simulation exercises and events in which Atlas roster members could attend is known and followed ;
- Support the management of Atlas Roster experts deployments to UNDAC trainings, Simulation exercises and missions ;
- Ensure the adequate communication and initial preparation is completed on time for the annual induction of new members of the Atlas Roster with UNDAC.

TASK 5 : Development, Improvement & Innovation
- Contribute to the monitoring and development of innovative approach, tools, and methodologies in the field of expertise and support of the Atlas Roster to the UNDAC System and initial phase of emergency.
- Contribute to the development of innovative solutions & methodologies for teamsโ€™ preparedness, in or out of the UNDAC network.
- Plan & coordinate the implementation of innovative solutions with the Atlas Roster, their training path & when relevant, in coordination with other stakeholders of the UNDAC system.
- Support the implementation of an After-Action review process, to catch lesson learned from field experience, in both preparedness and response activities of the Atlas Roster members.
- Contribute to the planning and achievement of specific topics workshops within the Atlas Roster or between HI-AL response mechanisms (EHRC, Emergency Division, EMT, Logistics Division).

ASSIGNEMENT 1: Coordinate the design & organization of the ALERT-EOC
(Atlas Logistique Emergency Response Training โ€“ Emergency Operations Center)
- Contribute to the design of the ALERT-EOC training & simex concept,
- Plan & coordinate all resources needed to the conception of this training,

PROFILE :

Minimum bachelorโ€™s degree in international Cooperation or Humanitarian Project Management

- Several experiences in humanitarian project management is mandatory;
- Several experiences in Emergency response deployment is mandatory;
- Experience in Logistics Project Management is a plus.
- Previous Experience within HI and / or Atlas Logistique is a plus.
- Previous experience in training design and/or workshop lead is a plus.
- Previous experience in team management is a plus.

CONDITIONS :

โ€ข 6 months contract starting ideally on the 2nd of June 2024
