The Technical Assistant will be responsible for but not restricted to providing administrative and technical support to โ€œBusiness and Biodiversity Portfolio of IUCN India Officeโ€.

In addition to providing general support in portfolioโ€™s undertaken project administration, the position is primarily responsible for the following and with the approval of the Programme Manager:

โ€ข Provide communication, coordination, and strategic support to the project activities.
โ€ข Support in the implementation of project activities to be conducted as part of the project portfolio.
โ€ข Assist Programme Manager with synthesising project reports and other project deliverables.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

โ€ข Assist in the preparation of project activities and deliverables to the private sector projects.
โ€ข Carry out secondary research work for developing project ideas, concept notes and proposals.
โ€ข Assist program manager in the development of project ideas, concept notes, technical notes, proposals, and contracts.
โ€ข Assist program manager in the development of Ecosystem Service Review reports, Three season Biodiversity reports, Biodiversity Impact Assessment reports, Biodiversity Management Plans and Biodiversity Action Plans.
โ€ข Develop web stories and newsletters for the Business and Biodiversity portfolio projects and Business and Biodiversity network related communications.
โ€ข Lead the design and execution of technical reports and presentations.
โ€ข Design online and offline event information, brochures, catalogues, training documents, newsletters, and factsheets.
โ€ข Prepare presentations, videos, and infographics for the portfolio.
โ€ข Seek technical inputs, identify marketing opportunities, explore resources, processes, and guidelines for expanding portfolio operations.
โ€ข Assist in the research and development and maintain comprehensive contact databases for potential private sector engagements.
โ€ข Prepare the background note, agenda, list of participants, participant data collection mediums through online forms, as well as rapporteur and assist in conducting the capacity building/training workshops.
โ€ข Participate and present progress and findings at any scheduled internal team meetings as required.
โ€ข Travel to project sites and assist in coordinating with the implementing agencies of the undertaken projects by the portfolio.
โ€ข Assist IUCN teams in the project to follow up, organize fieldwork as required and follow up with the work plan.
โ€ข Perform any other duties as requested by the line manager and as appropriate to the grade and role of the post.

REQUIREMENTS โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Natural Resource management, environmental sciences, Sustainability Management, ecological /environmental engineering or a related field

โ€ข At least 1 year of experience in biodiversity conservation and good understanding of sustainability related to corporate sector.

โ€ข Good writing skills in English and Hindi language is required.

โ€ข Proficiency with MS Office APPLICATIONS
