NRC is implementing a Shelter Programme in the Zaatari/Azraq refugee Camps in Jordan, the project aim to support refugees in the camps to have improved coping strategies through the provision of adequate housing and support to their ability to meet their basic needs. The Shelter Technical Assistant / Construction Supervisor will be responsible to plan, execute, and manage several construction units/crews, to ensure workflow is adequate and up to the agreed standards, meeting deadlines and targets.

Resolves engineering problems by collecting and analyzing information; researching, analyzing, adapting, and modifying engineering techniques; recommending solutions; preparing drawings, schematics, and diagrams; evaluating components, materials, and suppliers; resolving design integration issues; developing specifications and safety standards; performing installations. Supervise and Keep records of all incentive labor working with the team with the description of the activities conducted, details of the incentive labor. Conduct relevant assessments in the camp, including but not limited to caravan repairing assessment. Following up with labors and making sure that all requested tasks are done based on the agreed specifications, requirements, quality, and on time. Reporting work progress on daily, weekly or monthly basis as it will be agreed with the line manager based on the available workload and based on the nature of the given task. Prepare detailed plans for project implementation and ensure follow up and updating of the plan during implementation. Prepare materials dispatch form based on the designs and BoQs.
