JOB OVERVIEW:
IRC seeks a Senior Staff Attorney to join the IRC Marylandโs Children Legal Services team in Baltimore, Maryland. The Senior Staff Attorney is an experienced immigration, asylum and removal defense lawyer who will support complex core services cases, asylum and removal defense work. The Senior Staff Attorney will bring several yearsโ immigration experience including but not limited to representing asylum seekers, superb legal judgment and legal ethics, an ability to work independently while recognizing the value of collaboration and cross-referencing with other experts, and a passion for this area of work. The position will work in collaboration with community partners and will be part of the Childrenโs Legal Services, led by IRCโs Immigration Technical Unit (TU) at IRCโs headquarters, which supports IRCโs 24 legal service programs across the US.

Supervise Staff Attorney(s), Legal Assistant or DOJ accredited representativeCommunity Partnerships and Workshops Create and maintain a viable outreach strategy to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with community-based organizations, local immigration attorneys, and nonprofit legal providers to support effective group legal assistance clinics. Collaborate with other IRC departments and partners to offer community-based workshops or information sessions when demand exceeds capacity to provide direct legal representation.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Working Environment: Standard office environment with occasional participation in community outreach and legal
assistance events. Will be required to travel to IRC Silver Spring Office frequently. May require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
Compensation: Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
