The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is looking for an experienced, dynamic, and highly strategical individual to take up the role of Regional Protection Information Management System (IMS) Adviser for Latin Americaย whoย will lead the design, establishment, launch and maintenance of NRC Regional Protection Information Management System.ย The Protection IMS Manager develops the NRC Protection IMS strategy for the Latin America Region, ensuring capacity building plans, protocols, standards and compliance with protection global standards and internal guidelines are in place and streamlined across countriesโ€™ operations. To this end, the placeholder of the role plays a key role in conducting regional protection analysis to inform evidence-based programming and advocacy efforts for protection outcomes. Finally, the position is responsible for the design, implementation, and management system of protection activities.ย 

ย What you will do

  1. Lead the design and technical development of the regional protection information management system, including data management methodologies, tools, guides, data analysis and visualization processes.ย 
  2. Lead the maintenance of the regional protection information management system, including the timely and effective acquisition of new data, ensuring access to approved stakeholders, and the production of relevant analyses and presentations.ย 
  3. Ensure capacity building of relevant internal and partnersโ€™ staff to generate quality and timely data and information to inform better evidence-based programming, protection analysis, and advocacy.ย 
  4. Produce regular protection information management products, including protection monitoring dashboards, country level protection monitoring reports, thematic reports, and flash reports based on primary and secondary data sources.ย 
  5. Explore new and innovative ways for data collection, analysis, reporting and storage mechanisms.ย 
  6. Perform ongoing monitoring of, and provide feedback on how to improve, the programโ€™s processes of data collection, entre, storage, analysis, and presentation.ย 
  7. Contribute to the development of NRC's Regional strategy, action plan and activities plan and priorities in the Protection and MEL departments.
