Job Summary:

This is a shared project coordinator position between the EQHA II and COMMIT2 projects with the purpose to align and share approaches and lessons among project activities and teams. This position is under the direct supervision of Quality Implementation Team Lead. The project coordinator will provide technical assistance and coordination for both COMMIT 2 and EQHA II projects to achieve project objectives and serve as focal person to National Center for Tuberculosis and Leprosy Control (CENAT) related elements. Under the ministry of healthโ€™s relevant strategic plans and strategic directions, s/he will coordinate the review of existing strategies and work closely with stakeholders to develop and implement new strategies and pilot innovative private sector activities. S/he will work closely with national programs and relevant government departments, COMMIT 2 project partners and other stakeholders to improved programs and services based on international best practices and experience. S/he will provide input and project management of the technical portions of related proposals and project design, based on the design and direction set by technical leadership. S/he ensures COMMIT 2 project activities scope under FHI360 are on track with work plans, with technical expertise informing project implementation, and oversees project timelines and budgets. Assists in the development of donor reports and presentations. S/he will develop performance goals for use by supervisor and monitor progress regularly.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Technical leadership and coordination:

  • Develop strategies to harmonize TB program functions within the health system.
  • Identify TB activities to be integrated at all levels of the health system: national, provincial/district and subnational.
  • Ensure that project implementation adheres to appropriate global evidence base and incorporates best practices.
  • Ensure the quality of implemented technical activities and systems.
  • Identify areas for improved efficiency or effectiveness within prescribed parameters, and institute enhancements to procedures.
  • Contribute to strengthen quality of TB health services to ensure higher patient satisfaction.
    • Manage team to keep private sector TB engagement efforts on track including operationalization of mandatory notification of all TB cases.
    • Focus on person-centered TB care at both public and private facilities using evidence-based standards of care and provides quality care and referral services.
    • Promote quality standards and strengthen the use of data for TB services to improve TB indicators across the cascade.
    • Collaborate with CENAT leadership and staff, other partners and liaise with the key stakeholders to share information and learnings.
    • Maintains collaborative relationships with donor/client organizations, relevant government
      agencies, bilateral and other NGOs and consistently maintained and viewed as a knowledgeable resource in TB technical area.

      COMMIT 2 Project specific:

      • Coordinate with FHI360 global and national technical expert in providing evidence-based comments during consultative meetings for revision of the national SOP for TPT and LTBI for close contacts of people DR-TB and other guidelines.
