Background:

ELEVATE Nutrition (Enhancing Local Efforts for Vital, Transformative, and Evidence-Based Nutrition), funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), is a five-year cooperative agreement led by FHI 360 in collaboration with Action Against Hunger, Bixal, CNFA: Cultivating New Frontiers in Agriculture, GEMNet-Health, and Oxford Policy Management. The project aims to advance implementation of high-quality nutrition programs and policies to improve the nutritional status of women and children, particularly in the first 1,000 days. ELEVATE Nutrition will drive efforts to sustain technical leadership in nutrition, enhance locally driven nutrition programs and policies, and boost innovative efforts to share learning and transfer knowledge.

Job Summary:

The Program Officer II will provide project operations support for the implementation of project activities and ensure compliance with policies and procedures. They will support operations procedures such as onboarding consultants, processing payments, helping track activity budgets, coordinating communications functions to finalize publications, and coordinate events, among other related project operations. The Program Officer II should have at least 4 years of relevant experience and at least a bachelorโ€™s degree. A successful candidate will be detail oriented and an effective communicator with strong project management skills; have a strong desire to learn; and like working in a dynamic team environment with colleagues across multiple cultures, languages, and time zones. We are a collaborative team strongly committed to ensuring country-level stakeholders and systems drive the priorities at all levels. Candidate must reside within 50 miles of FHI 360โ€™s Washington, D.C. office in order to support meetings at that office approximately twice per month.
