Program Manager
The Program Manager is responsible for assisting the EpiC Nepal Project Director in oversight of the program and technical resources for EpiC Nepalโs COVID-19 response to strengthen a resilient health system to prevent, detect, and respond to current and future pandemics. The Program Manager will also assist in managing HIV and other public health programs implemented by the FHI 360 Nepal office.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all the activities under COVID-19 response to strengthen the resilient health system to prevent, detect, and respond to current and future pandemics and assist in HIV and other public health program management.
- Review, ensure, and provide support for the timely implementation of project work plan activities, strategies, and approaches with high-quality deliverables and as per the requirements.
- Review the projectโs progress tracking regularly and ensure that the projectโs achievements are on track. Ensure routine project data are regularly analyzed, visualized, and used for program improvement.
- Support and facilitate procurement, distribution, and tracking of supplies, materials, and equipment.
- Support, manage, and monitor various events and activities for capacity strengthening, review and planning, campaigns among others.
- Support to manage the development, implementation, and monitoring of sub-awards, sub-contracts, and annual and quarterly work plans and budgets.
- Prepare program reports, briefs, and other communication and reporting requirements for FHI 360, donors, and the Government of Nepal ensuring their accuracy, timeliness, and standards.
- Facilitate and ensure supportive supervision and monitoring are regularly planned and implemented and ensure issues and actions identified from the supervision visits are shared and addressed in time.
- Provide oversight to supervise the day-to-day work of the program and technical teams.
- Coordinate with and manage necessary support from HQ and APRO in consultation and coordination with the EpiC Nepal Project Director and FHI 360 Nepal Country Director.
- Work with the relevant EpiC Nepal and FHI 360 Nepal teams for documentation and dissemination of successes, good practices, and lessons learned.
- Regularly participate in various coordination meetings with stakeholders.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the EpiC Nepal Project Director or Country Director.
- Requirements:
- Masterโs degree or its international equivalent in public health, management, social science, or other relevant fields with five to seven years of relevant experience or a bachelorโs degree with seven to nine years of experience in a related field.
- Experience working with an international non-governmental organization (INGO) โ preferably with a focus on program management, implementation, and monitoring. Experience in USAID-supported project management will be an added value.
- Experience in working effectively across various teams within the project and organization, and building and sustaining positive working relationships with NGOs, private sectors, government, and other stakeholders.
- Proactive in managing multiple tasks, managing, and working in the virtual work environment, and flexible and open to managing time for working with different teams in different time zones as needed.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, team building and management, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written English and Nepali including documentation skills.
