5 Steps to get a job in the United Nations

Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organization that advances childrenโ€™s rights and equality for girls. Plan International envisages a world in which all children and young people realise their full potential, a vision now shared by the 193 Heads of State and Government who adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in September 2015. Our core values bind us together and hold us to high standards for how we expect ourselves and those we work with to behave. They are our guiding principles to the way we work and help us to understand how to put our organisational purpose- Advancing Childrenโ€™s Rights and Equality for Girls into practice.

These shared values and behaviors help to foster a culture of openness, accountability and transparency and to create a learning culture within Plan International, which allows innovation, experimentation and learning from our mistakes. They are also intended to help us attract those who share our ambitious goals for children and young women.
