World Wildlife Fund (WWF), one of the worldโ€™s leading conservation organizations, seeks a Manager, Private Sector Engagement

Major Function

The primary function of the Manager is to develop and manage corporate partnerships with the financial services sector to further WWFโ€™s mission, Global Goals, and objectives for transformational partnerships that will help improve integration of environmental risks and deliver greater investment for sustainable development โ€“ thus using the influence of Finance to drive sustainable practices through the rest of the economy. The Manager also serves on the transformational partnerships team within WWFโ€™s Private Sector Engagement (PSE) department, and focuses on research and the development of projects and communications/education materials to support WWFโ€™s conservation goals.

Responsibilities

Manages cross-functional corporate relationships focused on sustainable business engagement, cause marketing, policy/advocacy and/or philanthropic work streams.Responsible for leading development and implementation of financial services sector engagement strategy, ensuring alignment with and coordination across WWF-US and the WWF Global Network.Collaborates across WWF-US with colleagues working on public finance, and the WWF Global Network Finance Practice โ€“ monitoring trends, issues, and opportunities in the industry, and aligning finance sector partnerships to organizational priorities. Provides technical insights and guidance regarding corporate sustainability leadership commitments and implementation and navigating the frameworks for the Taskforce for Nature-related Financial Disclosure (TNFD) and the Taskforce for Climate-related Financial Disclosure (TCFD). Responsible for prospect research and due diligence feasibility reviews of potential finance sector partners.Serves as an WWF US industry lead for the finance sector and provides strategic guidance to WWF-US conservation program teams.Develops compelling proposals, presentations, and other communications materials.Works closely with WWF legal and PSE business services teams to ensure partnership agreements are correctly implemented.Monitors reporting requirements and ensures compliance with contractually required reporting requirements and deadlines.Works with WWF communications and technical staff to review and approve partnership related communications materials.Prepares forecast for annual budget and department expenses for managed corporate relationships when required.Provides direct and indirect supervision, management, and mentorship of other staff positions, employees, and interns as appropriate.Represents WWF at relevant events and meetings related to sustainable business partnerships. Participates in multistakeholder and partner group meetings.Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

A bachelorโ€™s degree and at least 8 years of relevant professional work experience required. A graduate degree in business, sustainability or other relevant field preferred.Knowledge of financial services sector is required; corporate sustainability experience strongly preferred.Demonstrated excellence in project management, with strong research, analytical, and verbal/written communications skills.
