ย Role and responsibilities
The purpose of the Logistics Officer position is day to day implementation of logistics functions inย
Tripoli in an effective and accountable manner.
Generic responsibilities
1. Ensure adherence with NRC policies, tools, handbooks, and guidelines.
2. Implement delegated support function portfolio according to plan of action.
3. Prepare and develop statusreports as required by management.
4. Ensure proper filing of documents.
5. Promote and share ideas for improvement of the support function.
Specific responsibilities
โข In cooperation with the Logistics Coordinator, apply procedures for logistics, procurement,ย
transport management, and warehouse in accordance with NRC guidelines, policies andย
Code of Conduct.
โข Identify, assess, and manage suitable and reliable suppliers, vendors, providers andย
contractors of goods and services in support of programme implementation in accordanceย
with NRC logistics Guidelines.
โข Conduct procurement processes according to the needs of the programme accountably,ย
transparently and with excellent communication to requesters and stakeholders.
โข Maintain and update all procurement and logistics tools according to NRC Logistic Guidelinesย
at all-time including Contract Tracker, Procurement Tracking Sheet, Vendors Database,ย
Assets Tracker, Stock Report.
โข Manage the vehicle fleet, including optimizing the use and supervising maintenance.ย
Supervise the drivers.
โข Ensure proper procurement procedures and file management implementation in accordanceย
with NRC logistics Guidelines.
โข Maintain asset-tracking documentation, conduct physical checks, and ensure completion ofย
handover forms.
โข Conduct daily checks on vehicles, generators, and facilities. Arrange scheduled and ad-hocย
maintenance.
โข Assist with stock and inventory documentation, storage, and transportation.
โข Maintain and update the logistics Supporting documentation and follow the archiving andย
securing supporting documentation guidelines for all logistics files.
โข Accountable on day-to-day procurement, asset logging, facility and vehicle checks andย
maintenance.
โข Ensure that all NRC facilities in Misrata are well maintained and safety equipment is in
place and regularly checked. Ensure ICT equipment is in working order.
โข Manage the storage of NRC stock items in Misrata safely and accountably in accordance
with NRC guidelines.

Context/ Specific skills, knowledge, and experience:

โข Degree or other relevant qualification in logistics or related subject
โข Document management experience
โข Experience of managing fleet, stock and assets
โข Good IT skills particularly use of email, Microsoft Excel and Word. Experience of Microsoft 365ย
is an advantage.
โข Experience of supervising staff
โข Experience working with an international NGO is an advantage
