Required Skills and Experience

Education:ย 

University studies in one of the following disciplines: economic, business, gender, public policy, international relations, or other relevant subjects is required.ย ย Meet one of the following:ย ย Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher);ย ย Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent);ย ย Have graduated with a university degree and, if selected, must commence the internship within a one-year period of graduation.ย Be enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship program which is part of a degree programme and undertake the internship as part of the program requirements.ย 

Experience:

Experience in the field of gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls, entrepreneurship and womenโ€™s entrepreneurship is an asset;ย Experience coordinating events related to gender equality, womenโ€™s economic empowerment is an asset;ย Experience undertaking research, including academic research, on areas relevant to womenโ€™s economic empowerment in Indonesia is an asset.ย 

Language:ย 

Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in Bahasa Indonesia and in English are required.ย Working knowledge of another UN language is an advantage.ย 

Renumeration:ย 

Interns who are not in receipt of financial support from other sources such as universities or other institutions will receive a stipend from UN Women to partially subsidize their basic living costs for the duration of the internship.ย
