Background
The Regional Bureau for Arab States (RBAS) oversees UNDPโs work across 16 Country Offices, the Programme of Assistance to the Palestinian People (PAPP), the Amman Regional Hub, and its Headquarters in New York. RBAS provides overall strategic vision, guidance, and oversight of regional performance, partnerships, and communications.
The Partnerships Team operates at the nexus of resource mobilization, donor intelligence, and strategic outreach across the Arab States region. Working closely with Country Offices, regional programmes, and global partners, the team supports the diversification of partnershipsโincluding with traditional and emerging donors, IFIs, private sector entities, and philanthropic organizations. It ensures coherence between partnership development, advocacy, and visibility efforts, showcasing UNDPโs impact through evidence-based storytelling and data-driven insights.
To strengthen data-driven decision-making, RBAS seeks the services of a Knowledge and Partnerships Analyst to compile and analyze resource-mobilization data and partnership trends, and to support communications products and analytics for the Partnerships Team.
Duties and Responsibilities
As part of the Partnerships Team (RBAS), the Analyst will support data management, analytics, and knowledge sharing on resource mobilization and partnership initiatives in the Arab States region. The incumbent will also contribute to partner engagement preparation, visibility, and knowledge products that strengthen UNDPโs positioning with donors and partners.
Specific duties include the following:
Resource Mobilization Analytics
Track and analyze financing trends, donor behaviors, and partnership outcomes across RBAS Country Offices and the Regional Programme. Maintain and update datasets, dashboards, and visual trackers on contributions, pipeline status, and partnership engagement. Produce analytical briefs, visualizations, and donor assessments to inform strategic outreach, internal planning, and advocacy. Conduct targeted research on donor priorities, funding mechanisms, and cooperation models to inform RBASโs partnership strategy. Provide data inputs and analytical support for concept notes, donor briefs, and funding proposals aligned with UNDPโs regional and global priorities, supporting decision-making and partnership planning.Knowledge and Information Management
Compile studies, case examples, and best practices on successful partnership and resource-mobilization initiatives, contributing to collective learning and strategic intelligence. Prepare infographics and data-driven materials tailored to key donors (e.g., KSA, Qatar, IsDB, Japan, EU, Germany). Support the preparation of advocacy, visibility, and communication products based on analytical findings and donor priorities. Contribute to the maintenance of internal knowledge repositories and SharePoint spaces, ensuring documentation of lessons learned, success stories, and results. Assist in coordinating inputs and knowledge exchanges across Country Offices to ensure consistency of partnership intelligence.Partner Engagement and Visibility Support
Under the guidance of Senior Partnership Advisor, provide support and input to various partner engagement initiatives of RBAS, helping ensure coherence and alignment in partnership preparation and outreach.ย Draft briefing materials, talking points, and presentation decks for high-level meetings, donor consultations, and partner events. Support coordination and logistics for RBAS partnership meetings, roundtables, and outreach events in collaboration with other teams. Contribute to developing tailored visibility products, partner updates, and success stories to highlight results and strengthen donor engagement. Maintain partner contact lists, monitor follow-ups, and help ensure coherent messaging and consistent partner servicing across channels.Operational and Team Support
Assist with workplan tracking, SharePoint and file management, and internal coordination within the Partnership Team. Support logistics for meetings and events organized by the Partnerships Team. Draft summary notes, presentation slides, and updates for briefings with partners.The incumbent performs other duties within their functional profile as deemed necessary for the efficient functioning of the Office and the Organization.

Education:
Advanced university degree (masterโs degree or equivalent) in Public Administration, Business Administration, Political Science, Economics, International Development or a related field is required, or A first-level university degree (bachelorโs degree) in the areas mentioned above in combination with 2 years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of Masterยดs degree.Experience:
Applicants with a masterโs degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field of study are not required to have professional work experience. Applicants with a bachelorโs degree (or equivalent) are required to have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience in project operations/financial management at a regional or international level.Required skills:

Previous experience coordinating donor reporting and supporting oversight or a donor-driven projectย is an asset.
