On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and co-financed by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the project \"Scaling digital agricultural innovations through start-ups\" (SAIS) supports African start-ups in the agricultural and food sector in their growth phase to get investment. The project aims to improve the investor readiness of the selected start-ups and give them access to investments and business partners. In this way, the start-ups are to be supported in scaling their innovations and thus reach a more significant number of users. For the users, the innovation must have a positive income effect.
Ihre Aufgaben
During your internship you have the following tasks:
Working closely with the start-ups and partners of the programme Communicate with start-ups through various channels (emails, social media, events) Coordination tasks in the selection process of the start-ups Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sourced startups, communications, and evaluation outcomes Technical and conceptual support in the further development of the annual support programme for start-ups from Africa Support in conducting surveys and their evaluations as well as implementing a M&E strategy Conducting technical research, e.g., in the areas of digitization, agriculture and start-ups as well as investors with a focus on Africa Creation of short technical articles for external communication including social media Supporting the SAIS project team with administrative tasks and day-to-day operationsIhr Profil
You study in the field of economics, social business, innovation management or a related, relevant field You have initial knowledge and most important interest in the areas of business, start-ups and investments You are native or fluent in English and have a good command of German, French is an advantage Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively You understand yourself as a digital native and can navigate different digital tools You are communicative, have organizational skills and are happy to support in the preparation of events and maintaining contacts with partners of the projects You have an interest in development policy Ideally, you have initial experience in working with start-ups or in the area of development cooperationHinweise

We pay a monthly stipend of €2.064,- (gross).
