The One Health Data Alliance Africa project, a regional project commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development supports the use of technology and data to protect the health of humans, animals and the environmental in Africa. Together with the African Union, Regional Economic Communities and African countries, early warning and integrated diseases surveillance systems are improved to support policy making and targeted interventions. The project brings together professionals working in human, animal and environmental health with data and digitalization experts to develop intelligent solutions in the evolving field of One Health Data. Building on existing data and information systems, the project fosters data integration, interoperability of systems and the application of data analytics, artificial intelligence and innovative tools. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team in Eschborn as a Climate and One Health Data Intern. You will have the opportunity to learn more about Climate and Health Data in Africa and what are the main challenges and opportunities for our partners. Ihre Aufgaben
Research on technologies and information systems, including trends, and innovations for early warning and integrated diseases surveillance with a focus on climate end environmental data within the One Health approach Support knowledge management on the topic of Climate and One Health Data with a regional focus on Africa Assessment and continues mapping of stakeholders to implement data use cases Support with the development of One Health Data maps in cooperation with our partners Support and participate in the organization of project events such as Community of Practice, conferences, and workshops Support overall knowledge management and development of communication materials such as PowerPoint Presentations, factsheets and concept notes.Ihr Profil
Master student in data science, computer science, information and communication technology or comparable courses of study Interest or experience in international/ development cooperation and good understanding of the social and political landscape in Africa Knowledge of One Heath, climate or environmental data, surveillance systems and policies First experience in data integration, analytics, artifical intelligence Proficient use of Microsoft Office and Communication Channels Strong conceptual, analytical and networking skills in an intercultural context Very good communication and event moderation skills Business fluent in English, knowledge of German or French is an advantageHinweise
