ROLE PURPOSE
The Information and Technology Assistantโs purpose is to provide technical support for users; and to administer local ICT infrastructure and corporate systems; to provide technical ICT4D support to project team by selecting or designing and implementing ICT4D solutions, as well as providing capacity building on the use of these solutions.

The activities the position is responsible for include:
โข ICT/ICT4D operational plans
โข ICT disaster recovery plans
โข Information Security plan for IT/ICT4D for data and devices.
โข Security and access control for data and network devices
โข Plan and manage CO/PIIA technical services ensuring adherence to all corporate processes
ACCOUNTABILITIES
a) Provide support for IT operations (ICT4Ops)
โข Provide IT operational plans for the continuous delivery and operation of Information Systems
โข Provide the support for technical operation of organizational IT applications and systems including but not limited to Planโs online systems (SAP, HRIS, ChildData, ...), Planโs online services (Planet, Email, Workplace, Microsoft Teams, ...), Plan International Cameroonโs local systems (SAGE PAIE, TOMPRO, LOGEMA, KRYSTAL DMS, โฆ), MS Office, Desktop OS, Server OS and mobile/remote users.
โข Plan and manage technical services ensuring adherence to all corporate standards
โข Implement the system security and organizational compliance, processes and procedures are in place and properly maintained
โข Facilitate information management and usage
โข Install and upgrade computer systems and networks in line with global operations standards
โข Availability and reliability of the ICT infrastructure, applications and connectivity
โข Perform proactive tasks for ICT infrastructure and corporate applications maintenance
โข Provides first line support, advice and solutions to ICT users in relation to application, data and business process issue, ensuring all issues are resolved in a timely fashion
โข Increase user ICT proficiency through the transfer of skills to Plan staff
โข Ensure proper IT inventory is in place.
b) Provide support for IT for development (ICT4D)
โข Support the implementation of ICT4D solutions like PoiMapper, CommCare, Power Bi, KoboCollect, ODK, FrontlineSMS, Ushaidi, โฆ
โข Work in collaboration with MERL team to develop reports, dashboards and other business intelligence for ICT4D projects
โข Design analysis frameworks for evaluations and surveys in collaborations with the MERL team based on MERL framework
โข Design and implement innovative ICT4D software solutions.
โข Assess the ICT4D capacity of local implementing partners
โข Train/provide capacity building to staff, partners, beneficiaries in ICT4D-related area to ensure consistent and efficient adoption and use of ICT4D technologies.
โข Provide adequate technical support during the implement of the data collection tools (PoiMapper, KoboCollect, โฆ)
โข Collaborate with Procurement to ensure ICT4D purchases are in line with Plan International standards and in compliance with donor requirements.
โข Maintain functionality of hardware and software of ICT4D equipment, to ensure an adequate supply of functioning devices as per the needs.
โข Ensure all ICT4D devices are well accounted for at inception, during implementation and at closeout of all projects.

Qualification and Experience
โข BTS/DUT/HND or equivalent in Computer Studies with 2 years working experience
โข Proven ability and experience in setting up LANs and telecommunications networks
โข Experience of supporting LANs, SQL Server, and email server administration
โข Experience of Microsoft Server administration
โข Experience in managing and implementing information systems and supporting technologies
โข Experience in Geographic Information System an advantage
โข Experience in managing ICT4D (Digital technology) tools, including data collection, analysis and visualisation tools like KoboCollect, PoiMapper, ODK, Excel, CommCare, Power Bi, ...
