We are looking for an internal Housing, Land and Property (HLP) Adviser who will be responsible for chairing the HLP Technical Working group (TWG), enhancing the focus on HLP issues at strategical and operational level, within the HLP TWG, promote representation of key stakeholders in the TWG activities, strengthening effective management of the TWG and synergies with the relevant clusters, sub-clusters and other relevant working groups and task forces.
Provide strategic advice and technical support to ICLA programme on related mattersProvide capacity building for the project staff as neededEnsure that projects target beneficiaries most in need, explore and assess new and better ways to assist Chair the HLP Technical Working Groupย Coordinate activities closely with clusters, sub-clusters, working groups and task forces leadsEnsure HLP mainstreaming as a cross-cutting issue in the work developed by relevant clusters, subclusters or other working groups.Represent the HLP TWG in meetings with sectoral and external partners, authorities and other relevant interlocutorsFacilitate coordination with government counterparts and relevant authorities and stakeholders regarding HLP TWG activities.Promote and share ideas for technical improvementPlease take a look at theย detailed job descriptionย to learn more about the positionย
Minimum 4 years of relevant job experience in a similar role, preferably within the humanitarian sectorProven experience in coordination and liaison with external actorsPrevious experience from working in complex and volatile contextsProficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPointFluency in English, both written and verbal. Fluency in Ukrainian is an assetUniversity degree in law, human rights, international relations, political sciences or equivalentStrong knowledge and expertise in HLP rightsย Understanding of laws and regulations related to internal displacementIn-depth knowledge of the context in Ukraine is an assetGood understanding of the UN humanitarian cluster approach and architecture.Good advocacy and representation skills including ability to establish effective and working relationships to facilitate communication within the cluster and other key actors.Good leadership skills and previous experience of coordinating humanitarian responseWhat Makes This Position Attractive?
