What will you do in this position?
You will operate across an assigned area and work independently, using technical knowledge and experience, to analyse data and identify solutions for partnerships activities. You typically support process improvements and partnership opportunities with a host of public, private sector and external entities. These can include governments, UN agencies, intergovernmental institutions and their member states, international financial institutions, individuals, corporations, foundations and NGOs.
You will lead activities to effectively position WFP Guinea with public, private and external partners to attract political support, financial resources, technical assistance and innovative solutions to advance WFP Guineaโs work in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), innovative solutions to advance the work of WFP Guinea in achieving zero hunger. You will implement the communication plan by supporting and delivering a range of communication activities, providing research and analysis, and prioritizing effectively.
How can you make a difference?
Under the direct supervision of the Country Director (CD) or his/her delegate, you will be responsible for the following key duties:
- Lead Partnerships team in identifying partnering opportunities, in creating and coordinating partnerships with national government, bi-lateral and multi-lateral donors, International Financial Institutions (IFIs), private sector, UN agencies and NGOs.
- Draft well researched concept note, project proposal and advocacy notes by closely working with Programme team to achieve WFP strategic objectives.
- Proactively contribute to a partnerships portfolio, including partner profiling, data/trends analysis and outreach activities, with the aim to maximize resources and leverage policy and technical support for WFPโs work. Ensure partner visibility and that partner conditions are met.
