About the Program:

The Food and Land Use Coalition (FOLU) is a self-governed coalition of organisations and individuals working collaboratively to achieve a shared objective: the urgent transformation of food and land use systems to deliver a better future for people, nature and climate. FOLU supports science-based solutions and helps to build a shared understanding of the challenges and opportunities to unlock collective, ambitious action.

Job Highlight:

Reporting to FOLU's Director of Partnerships, in this role you will be responsible for building and maintaining FOLUโ€™s relationships with key external partners, including FOLUโ€™s strategic partners, as well as its network of global Ambassadors. Additionally, the Partnerships Director is active in communications, outreach and external relationship building, as well as geographic expansion and fundraising.

What will you do:

Strategic Partnerships (30%):

Identify, create, cultivate, and expand FOLUโ€™s strategic partnerships with organizations and individuals critical to the delivery of FOLUโ€™s mission, in accordance with FOLUโ€™s strategic partnerships plan, with a focus on NGOs Lead FOLUโ€™s relationships with its Ambassadors, organizing an annual impact focused work plan leveraging the Ambassadors with advocacy, communications and events to support FOLUโ€™s objectives Contribute to โ€“ and participate in โ€“ the development of a grouping of like-minded actors working on Food Systems Collaboration Network, a coalition of actors working to take forward a high-ambition coalition and a strong set of outcomes on food at COP28 Support the Knowledge and Engagement team with advocacy and engagement, e.g. by working with partners towards shared events, e.g. Food Systems Pavilion at COP28 Lead the development of new FOLU platforms in the EU and UK, including concept development, scoping, and fundraising

Communications, outreach and external relationship building (20%):

Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government, private sector, academia, civil society, farmer, and other stakeholders Represent FOLU at international and country-level meetings/events to advance strategic objectives

Fundraising (20%):

Support the development of fundraising proposals and identify new funding opportunities Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective donors

Team management (30%):

Responsible for successful delivery of Partnership team activities, including strategic oversight of day-to-day activities and workstreams Lead and manage the Partnership team, comprised of associates from Systemiq, WRI and other coalition partners Manage team meetings and facilitate communication and learning across the Partnerships and other core teams Conduct performance reviews and ensure professional development of associates Ensure delivery in line with Partnership team budget, including staff resourcing and external contractor budgets linked to different grants Where appropriate, recruit for positions within the Partnerships team. Oversee grant and funder reporting for required activities.


What will you need:

Education: Master's degree (or bachelorโ€™s with two additional years of relevant work experience) Experience: You have 8+ years of experience working in large high-matrix international organizations Experience working in a Non-Governmental Organization and prior engagement in an environmental or international development focus area Exceptional writing and proofreading skills; ability to translate technical information into lay language; experience in developing and organizing proposals for varying audiences Experience working in a collaborative environment; an ability to diplomatically and effectively guide peers and directors through strategy conception to concrete proposed deliverables focused on impact at a global scale Experience working in an international team environment a plus; must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with diverse staff, institutional partners and interests, across multiple time zones, and within tight and often parallel deadlines

Potential Salary: The salary range for this position is ยฃ65,000 - ยฃ82,000.
