We are currently seeking qualified candidates for several positions for anticipated secondary education activity in Belize. The activity will aim to work with and strengthen the secondary education system to by equitably increase the number of post-primary graduates with the skills relevant to labor market demands. The activity will work to improve teaching and learning outcomes, provide teaching and learning resources, build the capacity of education leadership and teachers and increase the percentage of primary graduates that enroll in and complete secondary school.

Job Description

The GESI Specialist will work closely with the Project Team Lead and Technical Leads, as well as the Director of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning to ensure that principles of gender equality and social inclusion are integrated into all aspects of Activity design and implementation. S/he will provide programmatic and technical support to the project team, government counterparts, and other stakeholders on effective integration of GESI considerations, specifically emphasizing the equity and inclusion of marginalized groups such as indigenous children and youth, girls, and learners with disabilities. S/he will work closely with project staff to ensure integration of GESI elements in the M&E plan. The GESI Specialist will also provide necessary guidance related to GESI mainstreaming within the projectโ€™s internal operations and processes, including in recruitment and HR policies.
