The Fundraising Development team drives and supports Mercy Corpsโ€™ strategies for restricted funding, unrestricted funds and brand profile raising.

The Fundraising Operations team (FundOps) is the backbone of the department, responsible for ensuring we have the right systems and processes in place across revenue streams, providing critical monitoring and analysis of performance that support quick adaptations to improve team performance and ensuring we adhere to and stay abreast of fundraising regulatory requirements.


GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Senior Manager - FundOps, the Manager, Fundraising Operations will oversee the day-to-day management of the FundOps team and work plan in Europe, ensuring the smooth operation of our fundraising initiatives across revenue streams by ensuring the right processes and practices are followed to ensure compliance and improve performance, as well as contributing to exemplary supporter care.
They will oversee the CRM databases (Raiser's Edge & ActionKit), gift administration, data analytics, monthly KPI reporting and support procurement. They will support the Senior Manager - FundOps, with strategy development, budget development, policy development and global reporting. The position calls for a proactive, incredibly organised candidate with a high level of emotional intelligence to interact with the broad fundraising development team, bringing relevant experience to the role.

Responsible for the management and maintenance of Raiser's Edge and Action Kit databases to ensure the integrity of the data, appropriate coding and sophisticated segmentation and analysis. Produce complex data selections and segmentation for appeals. Develop monthly insights and analytics to support data-driven decision making across revenue streams. Responsible for spending and approval of the Fundraising Operations Team's Budget. Responsibility and oversight of the invoice log and reconciliation with budget holders. Overall responsibility and oversight of the end of month finance reconciliation process. Develop and lead on monthly KPI reporting Keep up-to-date with UK and EU data protection legislation and UK fundraising regulations, ensuring compliance across Fundraising Development Team activities. Support GDPR queries for the Fundraising Development Team and work with the Senior Manager - FundOps and Data Protection Officer to ensure compliance. Ensure fundraising policies and processes are fit for purpose. Input to Fundraising Development Teamโ€™s Record Of Processing Activities (ROPA) Ensure that income is designated and treated in accordance with restrictions, VAT and Gift Aid. Support the creation and delivery of Raiserโ€™s Edge training courses to the wider Fundraising Development team. Minimum Qualifications & Transferable Skills
At least 5 yearsโ€™ experience in fundraising related roles with at least 2 years experience in a senior fundraising related role. The position can be based in Edinburgh or London, UK with an opportunity for this to be a remote position based in the UK, and may involve occasional national and international travel. MCE team members represent the agency both during and outside work hours when deployed in a field posting or on a short term assignment or trip to country offices.
