About the Program:

The Executive Office is formed of the President and CEO, five Managing Directors, the Chief of Institutional Alignment, and the General Counsel and key staff who work with leaders in government, business, and the nonprofit community to forge alliances that further the Instituteโ€™s work; with media to spread WRIโ€™s messages; and internally with staff across the WRI network on the development and resourcing of programmatic work.

Job Highlight:

You will engage daily with WRI's global body of staff and high-level officials across the world giving you insight into WRI's portfolio of programmatic work. Working with a team of Executive Office staff and WRI's senior most leadership situated at the heart of an internationally renowned environmental organization, you will report directly to the Global Coordination Manager and indirectly report to the Managing Director for Strategy, Learning & Results. You will be based out of the WRI Global office in Washington DC and expected to be a hybrid model of remote and in-office. Existing US work authorization is required at the time of application submission. WRI is unable to sponsor work authorization for this position.

What will you do:

Administrative Support (100% time):

Plan and coordinate the business calendar, scheduling and arranging meetings and updating the Managing Directors regularly to cover urgent incoming requests Manage a fast-flowing email inbox, bringing urgent issues and those requiring action to their attention Organize and prepare for business travel, including bookings, pre-travel paperwork and other requirements (e.g., medical testing or vaccinations) and crafting detailed itineraries Processing expense claims Assist in the preparation, checking, and editing of correspondence and documents Maintaining an effective electronic filing system, including recording of official correspondence and maintaining a business contacts database (Salesforce) Convene regular meetings of the Managing Directorsโ€™ direct reports with support of the Global Coordination Specialist Assist with special projects as assigned. This will include data gathering, record keeping, convening stakeholders, and preparing communications

What will you need:

Education: A Bachelor's degree Experience: 3+ years full-time relevant work experience in an administrative or executive assistant role, including scheduling, travel management and inbox management Experience working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) Languages: This role will operate in English. Fluency in any of WRI's other languages is a bonus (Mandarin, Bahasa, Hindi, French, Spanish, Portuguese, etc.) Requirements: Existing work authorization is required where this position is based

Potential Salary: Salary range is between 69,000 and 78,000 USD. Salary is commensurate with experience and other compensable factors.
