  1. Role and responsibilities

    The Driver is responsible for transporting NRC staff, visitors, documents and goods/materials to designated destinations when officially approved within an area, country or other location.ย

Ensure the safety and security of the passengers, the goods and the vehicleImmediately report accidents, breakdowns and needs of repair and general maintenance/serviceRespect the local traffic regulations and the NRC logistical/vehicle policies at all timesMaintain the logbook for all tripsMaintain the vehicle in proper operating condition at all times, including keeping the vehicle clean, ensuring enough fuel, checking the technical state etc.ย In liaison with the line manager, arrange for repairs and servicingย Ensure the assigned vehicle has all the necessary documents and equipmentย Provide logistical support during trainings and workshops

Specific responsibilitiesย 

These responsibilities shall be adapted to the particularities of the job location and context, phase of operation, strategic focus and type of programme intervention. This section shall be revised whenever a new employee is hired or the context changes significantly.ย 

Driving the vehicle for delivery and collection of mails, documents, pouches, equipment and other administrative tasks upon the request of direct supervisor;To provide support to program teams in loading, unloading and delivery humanitarian aids in the missions as required;To accept the flexible working hours, depending on mission requirements (overtime is reimbursedย according to NRC regulations).Provide clerical support to operational and programme activities;Performing other duties as required.
