Plan International Pilipinas is seeking a passionate and experienced Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Specialist to join our dynamic team!
The DRR Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the successful implementation of this project. You will provide technical support, lead capacity-building activities, manage project activities, and ensure compliance with donor requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct DRR Capacity and Vulnerability Assessments.
- Design and facilitate DRR interventions using participatory techniques.
- Facilitate meetings to ensure partners understand the needs of vulnerable groups in DRR.
- Lead communities in reviewing and updating their contingency plans.
- Implement project activities based on the approved plan.
- Ensure compliance with donor reporting requirements.
- Monitor project progress and address any challenges.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Community Development, Behavioral Sciences, or a related field.
- Training in Community Organizing/Development, Program/Project Management, Participatory Rapid Appraisal, Cultural Sensitivity, Gender Sensitivity, and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management.
- Five (5) years of experience in community organizing and development.
- Hands-on experience in Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM).
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and report-writing skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluency in English and the local dialect is a plus.
