The Director NRC Germany leads NRCโs Representation Office inย Germanyย as theย Managing Director (Geschรคftsfรผhrerin/Geschรคftsfรผhrer).ย ย ย ย
NRC Germanyย isย a non-profit limited liability company (gemeinnรผtzige GmbH) andย represents NRC with relevant stakeholdersย inย Germany including government representatives, institutional donors, UN agencies, INGOs, cooperate partners, media, and theย general public.ย ย
NRC Germanyย is one of theย entities reporting to NRCโs Partnerships and Policy Departmentย which includes other Representation Offices inย Brussels, Geneva, London, and Washington DC.ย
The Partnerships and Policy Departmentย is responsible for:ย
NRCโs strategic relations with institutionalย partners.ย The organizationโs global advocacy and policy work.ย Partnerships with UN agencies and NGOs.ย ย ยWhat you will do: ย
Leadership and ManagementยAs the Directorย youย are responsible forย strategic development of NRCโs presence in Germany and relationships with German stakeholders including institutional donors.ย Youย manage NRC Germanyย in accordance with NRCโs policies and procedures as well as with Germanย law.ย
Resource mobilisation and partner relationsยAs the Director youย are responsible for managing NRCโs strategic relationships with institutional partners, foundations, cooperate partners, and theย general public in line with the NRC Global Strategy and the PnP Department strategy as well as the mandate of the Representation Office. ย ย
Advocacy and policy workยAs theย Directorย youย must be an advocate for the protection andย assistance of displaced and vulnerable people and engage in policy dialogue with government actors, NGOs, and other key stakeholders in Germany. The Directorย is responsible for NRCโs position and relevance in Germany.ย ย

What you will bring ย
Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible professional experience with at leastย 5 years of relevant senior management experience within the humanitarian fieldย Outstanding communication, representation, and interpersonal skillsย Proven ability to develop and implement solid institutional and organisationalย strategies.ย Professional knowledge of humanitarian principlesย ย Documented results related to the positionโs responsibilities, for example people and team management, budget responsibility, high level representation, and strategicย planning.ย Business mindset, preferable experience from working with/at the private sector.ย Being a confident and experienced public speaker.ย Fluency in German and English, both written and verbal. ยWhat we offer ย
