The International Monetary Fund has an immediate opening for a Data Management Analyst/Sr. Data Management Analyst (e-learning developer) to support its online learning program. The IMF provides training to member country officials on topics spanning from macroeconomic analysis to monetary and fiscal policy, macro-financial linkages, balance of payments issues, financial markets and institutions, as well as statistical and legal frameworks in these areas. The IMFโs online program aims at expanding the volume of training to member country officials while sharing knowledge with a wider audience through free massive open online courses (MOOCs) and other online learning modalities.
Description:
Under the general supervision of the ICDIP management, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in content development and eLearning best practices and will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging and interactive eLearning content that meet the needs of the IMF and its target audience. The selected candidate will have the following main duties and responsibilities:
- Design and develop interactive and engaging online learning content using Articulate 360.
- Transform existing online learning content into more modern, flexible, and portable formats to improve accessibility and enhance the user experience.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and instructional designers to analyze learning needs and develop effective eLearning solutions.
- Ensure eLearning content is SCORM compliant and compatible with various Learning Management Systems (LMS), including Moodle.
- Work closely with project managers, instructional designers, and other stakeholders to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality eLearning solutions.
The selected candidate will be part of the team delivering the IMFโs online learning program and is expected to contribute to the overall work program of the team and of the division.
Qualifications:
The candidate should have:
- A bachelorโs degree in educational technology, instructional design computer science, or a related field of study is required - two years of relevant work experience is preferred.
- Proven work experience as an eLearning Content Developer or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Articulate 360, including Storyline and Rise.
- In-depth knowledge of SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model) standards and experience in ensuring SCORM compliance.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), preferably Moodle, and experience in uploading and deploying eLearning content on LMS platforms.
- Proficiency in web design and development technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is highly desirable.
- Strong project management skills and excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Initiative and attention to detail; ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects effectively; ability to work under pressure both autonomously and in a team environment.
- In-depth knowledge of processes involved in online course development and delivery and of the edX platform would be a strong advantage. Proficiency in Arabic is desirable.
This is a one-year contractual appointment with the International Monetary Fund. Contractual appointments are renewable for up to four years of cumulative service, pending continuous business need and incumbent's performance.
