The Child Protection in Emergency Specialist under the supervision of the Deputy Country Director for Programme and Influencing and is responsible for the overall Child Protection Program funded by different donors implemented in Bangui or on the field coordinating with Child Protection Project Managers and Heads of Sub Offices.
The purpose of the Child Protection in Emergency (CPiE) Specialist position is the technical development of the Child Protection programme within Plan International CAR, strategic direction, and quality assurance.
Do you have what it takes?
- Excellent communication skills. The role requires the candidate to possess working fluency in both French and English.
- Masterโs degree in development studies, Psychology, Social Work, Social Science, or related field or a demonstrated knowledge and practical experience in the field of CPiE.
- Significant proven progressive experience in a similar role in an emergency and insecure context across different countries.
- Demonstrated track record in driving change and enabling high-performing teams, with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop others.
- Knowledge of the requirements of donor compliance and financial management.
- Experience in programming in complex environments with a good understanding and appreciation of the security context, the political environment, and the humanitarian context in CAR or a comparable environment.
- Thorough knowledge of and experience with Minimum Standards for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action and other interagency guidelines for child protection

Location: We will be recruiting globally for this role, but the individual must be based in Bangui, Central Africa Africa. Relocation support is available.
