Job Summary:
The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) seeks a Country Coordinator I/II for a one-year renewable appointment in its Nutrition, Diets and Health Unit. The successful candidate must be qualified with expertise in the International Nutrition, Public Health, Health Systems, Agricultural Economics, Public Policy, or closely related field to fill the position of Country Coordinator I/II based at the IFPRI office in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The successful candidate will join IFPRIโs Initiative: SHiFT: Sustainable Healthy Diets through Food Systems Transformation to undertake coordination and research activities for this project. Interested applicants must have work authorization to work in Bangladesh.
The final grade level will be determined by level of education and years of relevant work experience.

Required Qualifications:
Country Coordinator I - Masterโs degree in international nutrition, public health, health systems, economics, agricultural economics, public policy, or a closely related field and three years of relevant experience post masterโs degree. Country Coordinator II โ Any of the above-mentioned field and five years of relevant professional experience post masterโs degree. Familiarity with the food systems landscape (research, programs, policies) and stakeholders in Bangladesh Demonstrated skills in pro-actively developing and maintaining internal and external relationships with research teams, local and national implementing partners, government officials, donors, and other stakeholders. Demonstrated excellent communication skills, such as writing reports and delivering presentations for different audiences. A team player who takes initiative and proactively shares information and collaborates effectively across functions, geographical distance, and cultures. Demonstrated leadership skills and experience working with and managing multi-stakeholder partnerships with multi-disciplinary research teams. Dependable, proactive in identifying and preventing potential problems, and able to prioritize competing demands in order to keep processes moving and meet deadlines. Excellent written and spoken English. Ability to travel domestically or internationally.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in engaging in policy dialogues with national stakeholders, international NGOs, and donor agencies. Experience in a varied range of participatory learning or capacity building methods, including curriculum development and training design.Physical Demand & Work environment:
