Duty Station: New York based
Purpose of consultancy:
The purpose of this consultancy is to enhance UNFPA's talent acquisition and retention efforts, through the strengthening of its recruitment procedures, Young Professionals Programmes, employer branding, and attracting highly qualified candidates who align with the organization's mission and values. During the term of this consultancy, incumbent will be expected to perform the following activities (but not be limited to):
Support corporate initiatives relating to performance measures and reporting, and standard
procedures
โ Support monitoring of recruitment KPIs through regular assessment of regional performance in established dashboards, and analyze and visualize data as required.
โ Prepare and update presentations on recruitment KPIs, procedures and other guidance.
โ Carry out research projects as assigned on talent acquisition and present the findings and outcomes in a clear, concise and logical manner.
โ Perform market research on recruitment tools, and support management of relationships with external partners.
Support recruitment activities
โ Support the recruitment activities managed by the Talent Acquisition team.
โ Support organising and delivering YPP in person events in Headquarters in New York, USA, including the Orientation, Career Bootcamp, and other events as may arise.
โ Contribute to various other initiatives. Support outreach, communications and other support activities
โ Create content and actively use online recruiting resources, social media websites, professional networking events and job boards to attract qualified applicants in general and for specific vacancies.
โ Assist with the management of UNFPA's presence on social media platforms, ensuring consistent messaging and engagement with potential candidates.
โ Support the creation of compelling outreach materials.
โ Support the development and maintenance of pools of potential candidates and implement effective candidate relationship management strategies.
Expected Results
The expected results of the consultant comprise developing the following:
โ Corporate initiatives
Monitoring carried out regularly; guidance provided in a timely manner in liaison with partners; accurate data analysis and impactful visualization using Google slides or PowerPoint; updates/drafts of guidance materials for recruitment delivered.
โ Recruitment activities
Timely and precise support, accurate record keeping.
โ Outreach, communications and other support activities
Identification of and development of talent pools, with candidates segmented within each group based on relevant criteria, and their maintenance. Outreach materials created and activities carried out.
Deliverables:
โ Monitoring recruitment performance measures at least on a biweekly basis to flag progress;
โ Establishment of at least five quality talent pools for key corporate positions;
โ Produce at least two draft outreach tool/material;
โ Assist with organising and holding at least two in-person events;
โ Carry out at least two talent acquisition research projects and share findings and outcomes;
โ Delivery dates as assigned per task during the contracted period for ongoing tasks.
The consultant will report to the Human Resources Advisor, Talent Acquisition and the Human Resources Specialist.
Expected Travel: Travel is not required. Work will be remote within the Duty Station, with some office visits as needed.
Required Expertise and Qualifications:
Education:
Masterโs degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field is required. A Bachelorโs degree may be accepted for candidates with 2 years of relevant experience in recruiter marketing; external outreach; talent acquisition, or related roles.
Knowledge and Experience:
Fluency in English is required. Excellent drafting skills are desirable.
โ Strong research and data analytics and visualization skills. Proficient in analysing and interpreting studies and data related to recruitment/talent acquisition, and presenting them in an impactful way for presentation.
โ Experience in supporting the development and/or implementing successful employer branding strategies, using/managing and developing content for social media platforms and virtual professional networks such as LinkedIn to identify and attract talent is desirable.
โ Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate and maintain good working relationships with individuals of different cultural backgrounds.
โ Participate effectively in a team-based, information-sharing environment, collaborating and cooperating effectively with others.
โ Detail oriented and results focused.
Languages:
โ Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another UN language is an asset.
