Compensation & Benefits Manager
The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) is hiring two Compensation & Benefits Managers within the Human Resources team.
This role is based in Basel, Switzerland however, thanks to our status as an international organization, we can hire globally and welcome applications from candidates of all nationalities and located anywhere in the world. Relocation support is available for the successful candidate and their dependent family members.
Purpose of the job:
Reporting to the Head of Compensation & Benefits, the Compensation & Benefits Manager will work as part of a small team responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the organisationโs compensation and benefits in line with the strategy by:
Reviewing current practices, recommending strategic and pragmatic solutions and recommendations, and effectively implementing changes Benchmarking salaries and benefits with peer group organisations Advising the business on all areas of compensation and benefits, including job architecture and policies.By joining the Compensation & Benefits team, you will:

Qualifications, skills, and experience:
Experience in compensation and benefits within an international environment, with expertise in development and management of compensation and benefit plans and policies. Experience in market benchmarking practices. Strong numerical and analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail. Extensive knowledge of HR IT systems (experience with Oracle PeopleSoft HR or Workday would be an advantage). Exposure to managing job evaluation processes, knowledge of Hay methodology would be an advantage. Experience in handling projects and external vendors. Advanced interpersonal and influencing skills and experience of communicating and building trust across all levels of the organisation. Ability to utilise knowledge and professional expertise to identify gaps, discrepancies and room for improvement and find solutions. Excellent written and oral skills in English.Who we are:
