The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) has two available positions for Administrative Officers to join our Monetary and Economics Department (MED):
路 The first position is full-time (100%) with a three-year fixed-term contract.
路 The second position is part-time (50%) with a one-year fixed-term contract.
The BIS is an international organisation dedicated to promoting global monetary and financial stability, serving as a bank for central banks. The Monetary and Economics Department focuses on financial policy work, research and statistical undertakings.
For the full-time position, we are particularly seeking individuals with a strong background in budget and contract management and/or experience in organising senior meetings to join our team. For the 50% position, we are looking for a generalist profile.
By joining the Monetary and Economics Department:
路 You will become part of an international Administration team of 10 and have the opportunity to collaborate internally within the department and externally with the central banking community.

Principal accountabilities:
路 Support core collaboration activities with central bank stakeholders (e.g., organising internal and external meetings, including at the most senior level, and coordinating the timely release and appropriate formatting of BIS publications).
路 Coordinate budget and contract management activities, including for procurement issues, both for the cooperative activities and IT software and services.
路 Provide support to (senior) management.
路 Handle a range of general administrative tasks (e.g., managing various internal and external requests) .
Qualifications, skills, and experience:
路 Bachelor's degree, preferably in business administration, economics, finance, political science, international relations or a related field, or equivalent qualification.
路 Proficiency in standard IT applications (MS Office, SharePoint, virtual collaboration tools) and a willingness to acquire new skills.
路 Excellent communication skills in English. Language skills in German and/or French would be a plus.
路 Collaborative team player.
路 Prior relevant experience in a global/international environment is desirable, with a focus in meeting organisation, budget, staffing and contract matters, project management and supporting senior managerial staff.
