The Opportunity

The post holder is responsible for the deliveries of results in line with pre-agreed program planes and objectives and oversee the implementation of the child protection policy in the PA and contribute towards achieving the country program goal of improved protection mechanisms and community practices against harmful traditional practices and violence against children. Plan International Ethiopia has put in place a child protection policy that all of its staff must adhere to and sign.

The Individual

Qualifications/ Experience Essential:

  • BA degree in Sociology, Social Work, Psychology Child Development and other related fields.
  • 3 (Three) years of relevant work experience in INGOs, involving in the supply management of both emergency and development programs. Excellent knowledge of Child Protection and SGBV minimum standards and basic principles; Good knowledge of SGBV and Child Protection case management
  • Excellent knowledge of basic child protection and youth principles and child & adult development and learning
  • Good knowledge of donor grants and contract regulations.

    Qualification Desirable:

    • Ability to deliver quality programs in a desirable time and work under stressful conditions.
    • Proven ability to work in a team environment and independently.
    • Excellent written, verbal communication skills in English and Amharic.
    • Computer literate.
    • Good interpersonal skills.
    • Gender sensitive.
    • Proposal and report writing skills.
    • Analytical and strategic thinking

      Languages Required:

      • Fluency in English is essential (perfect written and spoken)
