ure delivery of high-quality programming and advance the position of CRS as a leading agency in the agriculture field. As a senior leader you will proactively manage security and mitigate security risks.

At least 5 years’ experience in private sector working in Horticulture / high value agricultural crops, preferred horticultural experience in export and national markets.
Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Agency for International Development Acquisition Regulations (AIDAR)
Recognized leader in sector as demonstrated by peer reviewed publications, conference presentations etc.
Demonstrated experience of successful program management, including management of complex, high-value, multi-activity projects, with complicated logistics.
Experience in commercial transaction with international buyers, considerable experience in horticultural management and food safety regulations.
Solid understanding of BRC and FSMA regulations, phytosanitary regulations and processes, HACCP knowledge to meet international and national food safety
quality assurance standards.
Experience engaging partners and strengthening partnerships. Knowledge of CRS partnership strategy a plus.
Ability to represent and present at high levels.
Experience in MS Office package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio), Web Conferencing Applications, and information and budget management systems.
Experience implementing and managing USAID contract mechanisms including, but not limited to, Cost-Plus Fixed Fee and Firm Fixed Price type agreements.
Required Languages - Excellent command of written and spoken English required, Swahili highly desirable.
Travel - Must be willing and able to travel up to 30 %.

Masters degree in International Development, International Relations, Business Administration or a relevant technical area. PhD preferred.
7 or more years’ relevant management and technical experience.
5 years experience managing donor funds, including multi country assistance agreements and USAID contracts. Strong knowledge and experience in budget management.
5 years of staff management experience and abilities that are conducive to a learning environment. Experience in mentoring and coaching senior program staff.
