Standard Job DescriptionBusiness Analysis Associate Organizational Setting and Work Relationships The Business Analysis Associate normally functions under the direct supervision of a (Senior) Business Analyst or (Senior) IT Officer. The incumbent helps ensuring the ongoing and overall end-to-end integration in the MSRP modules within the Area of Responsibility (AoR). System change requests are often in relation to policy changes or the re-engineering of procedures, or key initiatives. Tasks will include translation of business requirements into specifications for IT developers inside and/or outside of UNHCR. The incumbent will work closely with the supervisor and with colleagues from the respective Division towards enhancement and automation of business processes through the use of technology. As needed, the incumbent will also assist the supervisor in analysis and testing of MSRP functionality changes within the AoR which may result from technical/image upgrades. S/he will assist the supervisor with day-to-day support to the users as needed. All UNHCR staff members are accountable to perform their duties as reflected in their job description. Duties - Assist in gathering requirements for MSRP change requests within the AoR and in solutions and design for business process challenges, through the use of technology. - Assist in re-engineering/enhancement of business processes or current MSRP module/functionality within the AoR, to ensure compliance with policies and administrative instructions, with the goal of improved efficiency for users through self-service/process automation. - Interface with system design and development counterparts to finalize enhancement/change request specifications. - If requested, provide quality assurance (pre UAT testing) of developed solutions. - Assist in coordination of User Acceptance testing (UAT) and perform UAT as needed on behalf of the future system user. - Assist in process improvement discussions within the AoR, looking for streamlining opportunities with a view of standardizing and simplifying processes and services. - Prepare end-user training materials and assist in formulating training approaches aligned with the functionality being deployed. - Assist in the implementation of new functions, coaching/training resources as related to the deployment of new MSRP functions within the AoR. - Provide post-change follow-up and user support to ensure successful stabilisation. - Perform other related duties as required. Remuneration:
In case of appointment, a competitive compensation and benefits package is offered.
G6 - Salary range: NET 558,082 HUF- NET 654,280 HUF.

Nature of Position:

DSPR guides strategic planning and multi-year planning; ensures that planning and resource allocation processes are simplified, evidence-based, and coherent; strengthens results-based management and reporting on impact and outcomes and resources allocated; strengthens management and oversight of projects implemented directly or by partners. DSPR has three services: Strategic and Programme Planning (SPPS); Annual Review and Budget Analysis (ARBAS); Implementation Management and Assurance (IMAS).

IMAS guides and supports implementation and programmatic management of UNHCRโ€™s activities and outputs in country operations, implemented directly or with partners. Service ensures that systems, structures, policies, procedures, and teams are in place for effective implementation and operational delivery.

IMAS has two Units: Operational and Partnership Management, and Quality Assurance and Systems Coordination, responsible for ensuring tools and technologies for partner and project management are simple and effective. IMAS is responsible for matters related to the Framework for Implementing with Partners organisation wide, including setting policies, designing procedures, implementing strategies, coordination, implementation of strategies and regulations, and oversight.

QASCU focuses on supporting systems, processes, and capacities for all aspects of programme implementation, including planning, budgeting, monitoring and reporting. QASCUโ€™s responsibilities include โ€œbusiness as usualโ€ user support to comply with business milestones; identification and prioritization of potential enhancements; and liaison/coordination between DIST and various business units for testing and troubleshooting. Among the systems within QASCUโ€™s portfolio are the Results-Based Management System (COMPASS) and the forthcoming Project Reporting, Oversight and Monitoring Solution (PROMS).

Supervised by senior staff member, the incumbent will provide support to users in making use of corporate systems in compliance with applicable policies, financial rules and regulations. S/he will collaborate with staff in IMAS and other units in UNHCR within the area of responsibility.

Incumbent will support practical application of UNHCR policy and procedures in the results-based management areas of โ€œplan,โ€ โ€œgetโ€ and โ€œshowโ€. Key users supported by the incumbent include Programme, Project Control/Assurance functions, multi-functional teams and results managers. The incumbent will assist the team in testing developed enhancements and fixes, including integrations between the various systems that are part of the Business Transformation Project as they relate to DSPRโ€™s portfolio.

Incumbent will have working experience in the area of work, strong analytical skills, good oral and written communication skills, and good knowledge of UN financial rules and procedures.
